WARNING REGARDING SIGNIFICANT FLOOD FORECAST IN RIVER CHENAB AND RAVI

Government of the Punjab, Disaster Management Department / PDMA issued a warning regarding High to Very High Flood Situation in River Chenab. Detail:- Pakistan Metrological Department vide its Bulletin No. A-099/18, dated 21-09- 2018 has intimated that high to very high Flood situation is expected in River Chenab along with  associated Nullahs of Rivers Chenab and Ravi from 23 September 2018 onwards. Flood situation  in Rivers Sutlej and Ravi will depend upon the outflows from Indian Reservoirs. Flows are also  likely to increase in River Jhelum. It is therefore, requested that all concerned may be informed to take necessary pre- cautionary measures in low-lying / vulnerable areas to avoid any loss of life damage to public as  well as private property, under intimation to PDMA, Punja b.

Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department, Additional Chief Secretary issued a notification regarding surrendering / joining / relieving the services of officers / officials. Detail of Notification:- For ensuring administrative discipline and smooth functioning of the offices, following instructions should be followed in letter and spirit:- As consequence of the transfer orders issued by the Competent Authority, relieving of the incumbents and joining of the newcomers is to be ensured without delay. If an officer / official is not performing satisfactory, administrative tools i.e. counselling, capacity building, warning etc. should be used. In no case, an officer / official is to be surrendered. PROPOSAL OF THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT TO DOWNGRADE THE POST OF ASSISTANT FROM BS-16 TO BS-15

Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department (Regulations Wing), Section Officer (R-III) issued a clarification letter regarding proposal of down-gradation of the post of Assistant from BS-16 to BS-15. Detail of Letter:- The Regulations Wing, S&GAD has examined the matter and it is observed that the basic qualification for the post of Assistant is B.A, whereas the qualification for the post of Stenographer is F.A. Therefore, the incumbents of both the posts cannot have parity in terms of scale or status. Furthermore, financial benefits once extended cannot be withdrawn. In addition, if the post of Assistant is down-graded at this juncture, it will rise to unnecessary instigation.

Detail is as Follows:- Keeping in view the sanctity of Muharram ul Haram, the Government of the Punjab has decided to postpone the Medical & Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2018 scheduled to be held on Sunday, 16th September, 2018. The MDCAT-2018 shall now be held on Sunday, 23rd September, 2018 at 10:00AM. The Admittance Cards which have already been issued to the candidates shall remain valid and the candidates shall be eligible to appear in the test on the basis of these Admittance Cards. NOTIFICATION REGARDING OFFICE HOURS OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OFFICES

Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division, Joint Secretary issued a notification regarding Office Hours / Office Timings. Detail of Notification: In partial modification of Ministry of Interior’s Notification No.2/7/2011-Public dated 13.10.2011 and in pursuance of Cabinet decision dated 24th August, 2018, the Federal Government has decided that working hours would be from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm with immediate effect.

NOTIFICATION REGARDING OFFICE TIMINGS OF PAKISTAN RAILWAYS

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), Deputy Director (G&C) issued a notification regarding Office Timings of Pakistan Railways. Detail of Notification: In terms of Establishment Division`s Notification No.6/1/2007-D-2 dated August 27, 2018 and in pursuance of Cabinet decision dated 24-08-2018, the Federal Government has decided that working hours would be from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm with immediate effect.

NOTIFICATION REGARDING REVISED OFFICES WORKING HOURS OF GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB

Government of the Punjab, Services and General Administration Department (Section Welfare-I), Section Officer (Welfare-I) issued a Notification regarding revised office hours of the offices of Provincial Government. Detail of Notification: In partial modification of this Department's letter of even number dated 20.02.2015 and in pursuance of Notification of Federal Government dated 27.08.2018, the following office timings will be observed in all the offices of Government of the Punjab with immediate effect:- For Offices Working on 5-Days a Week 1-   Monday to Thursday from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm (with half an hour lunch / prayer break at 01:00 pm) 2.  Friday from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm (lunch / prayer break at 12:30 pm to 02:00 pm) For Offices Working on 6-Days a Week 1-   Monday to Thursday & Saturday from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm (with half an hour lunch / prayer break at 01:00 pm) 2.   Friday from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm 

NOTIFICATION REGARDING EXTENSION IN THE DATE OF FILING OF INCOME TAX RETURNS / STATEMENTS FOR TAX YEAR 2018

Government of Pakistan, Revenue Division, Federal Board of Revenue, Islamabad, Second Secretary, STM IR (Operations) issued a Notification dated 31.08.2018 regarding Extension in the Date of Filing Income Tax Returns / Statements for Tax Year 2018. Detail of Notification: In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to extend the date of filling of Income Tax Returns / Statements for the Tax Year 2018 as under: -  The date of filing of Income Tax returns required to be filed through e-portal in the cases of salaried individuals which were due on 31st August, 2018 is hereby extended upto 30th September, 2017. The date of filing of Statement of Final Taxation under section 115(4) due on 31st August, 2018 is also extended upto 30th September, 2018.

NOTIFICATION REGARDING CLARIFICATION OF ADMISSIBILITY OF CIVIL SECRETARIAT ALLOWANCE TO THE OFFICERS / OFFICIALS OF CIVIL SECRETARIAT, GOVERNOR'S HOUSE / SECRETARIAT AND CHIEF MINISTER'S OFFICE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department, Deputy Secretary (PC) issued notification regarding non-admissibility of Civil Secretariat Allowance @ 50% on running basic pay scales 2017 to the employees of Civil Secretariat Punjab, Governor's House / Secretariat and Chief Minister's office (BS-1 to BS-22). Detail of Notification:- The Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to grant "Civil Secretariat Allowance" @50% on running Basic Pay Scales 2017 w.e.f 01.01.2018 to the employees of Punjab Civil Secretariat, Governor's House / Secretariat and Chief Minister's Office (BS-1 to BS-22) who are drawing their pay from the payroll of Civil Secretariat Departments, Governor's House / Secretariat and Chief Minister's Office. The said allowance will not be treated as a part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension / commutation. NOTIFICATION REGARDING REGULARIZATION OF CONTRACT APPOINTMENT AND REVISION OF ASSISTANCE PACKAGE FOR FAMILIES OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WHO DIE IN SERVICE

Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division, Section Officer (E-2) issued a Notification regarding Revision of Assistance Package for Families of Government Employees Who Die in Service and Regularization of Contract Employees Appointed during 15.06.2013 to 09.02.2015 . Detail of Notification:- The undersigned is directed to refer to Controller General of Account’s letter No. 215/CGA/Admin-II/02- 10/2010 dated 18-07-2018 on the above subject and to say that all benefits of PM`s Assistance Package 2014 are applicable to the period of held in abeyance from 15-06-2013 to 09-02-2015, it is clear that who appointed on contract basis during 15-06-2013 to 09-02-2015 shall be converted to regular appointment.
