Government of Sindh, Law Parliamentary Affairs & Criminal Prosecution Service Department issued a notification regarding Special Court for Disable Persons. With the concurrence of the Honorable Chief Justice High Court of Sindh and with the approval of the Competent Authority i.e. Chief Minister Sindh, a Court of Sessions for each District to be a 'Special Court for Persons with Disabilities to try the offences under sub-section (1) of section 33 of the Sindh Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2018 is hereby established with immediate effect.

Lahore High Court, Lahore issued decision regarding granting the benefit of 17-A Rule of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1974 that appointments under Rule 17-A shall be made on regular basis. Government has changed its policy qua mode of recruitment from contract to regular. Besides, this Court in the above-noted judgments has already declared the contract employment under Rule 17-A of the Rules, 1974, without lawful authority. More so, the Government has introduced an Ordinance, 2019 whereby all the contract employees completing their three years' service, have been allowed to be regularized. Therefore, I feel no hesitation in declaring this letter redundant as it lost its wisdom after 14.10.2009 when services of contract employees were directed to be regularized, and new appointments were also allowed to be made on regular basis subject to fulfillment of prerequisites. Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a letter regarding Revision of Special Judicial Allowance Equal to Three Times Initial Basic Pay of Pay Scale 2017. In continuation of this department's letter of even number dated 25.03.2019 the Competent Authority i.e. the Governor of the Punjab under Article 208 of the Constitution, has approved to unfreeze the special judicial allowance earlier admissible as equal to three times initial basic pay of the pay scales 2008, and allow while revising the same at the rate equal to one basic pay of their respective current Pay Scale plus 50% of running basic pay w.e.f. 01.03.2019 to the members of Lahore High Court Establishment.
