Government of Pakistan, Directorate General Immigration & Passports (Headquarters), Deputy Assistant Director (Policy) issued a letter regarding obtaining a passport in private capacity being a Government Servant is punishable. During exercise regarding Government Officers / Officials who did not declare their foreign nationality, it came to the notice that 47561 Officers / Officials have obtained passports in private capacity without mentioning government service as profession.  Obtaining a passport in private capacity being a Government Servant is punishable offence under Section 6 of Passport Act, 1974. Thus, the above Government Officers / Officials have committed an offence under the provision of this Section. Keeping in view, the large number of Government Officers / Officials who have obtained passports in private capacity in concealment of profession by not declaring their Government service. The case is being referred to Ministry of Interior with the following suggestion:-

Chief Executive Officer, District Education Authority, Rawalpindi issued a letter to all private schools of District Rawalpindi regarding ban on collection of summer vacation fee in advance. With reference to High Court Order No.SO(G-III) SE-21/PS/HC/3-859/CP.No.5812/2015 dated 05.03.2018. Honorable High Court has taken serious notices of collection of summer vacation tuition fee by most of the private schools in advance for the month of June / July, 2018. So all Private Schools are directed not to collect (Summer Vacation) tuition fee.  In case of any complaint received from the parents, strict action will be taken against the defaulters. Furthermore the registration of the defaulters will be cancelled on violation of Govt. Instruction.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a policy for issuance of New Currency Notes to General Public with the help of Pakistan Banks Association via SMS short code at 8877 from 01-06-2018 to 14-06-2018. Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department (Regulations Wing), Section Officer (ERB) issued a letter addressed to Secretary Government of the Punjab, Communication & Works Department regarding regularization of contract employees of Lahore Ring Road, Authority. As per the letter:-  The case has been examined in Regulations Wing, S&GAD and it is observed that under para 3 (IX))(vii) of the Contract Appointment Policy, 2004. Retired Armed Forces Personnel are eligible for contract appointment subject to eligibility criteria. In the light of the above, once an ex-army person is appointed on contract basis, he becomes entitled to equal treatment with other such appointees and regularization of services of such appointee can not be disallowed on the basis of his being an ex-army personnel, provided he fulfill other conditions i.e. pre-requisites for regularization of contract appointment.

Prime Minister's Office, Islambabd, Secretary of the Prime Minister issued a notification regarding grant of special performance incentive to the officers / officials of the Federal Government. The Prime Minister / Chairman ECC has seen and is pleased to order that all employees of the Federal Government shall be given honorarium equivalent to three basic pays for financial year 2017-18. No exception shall be allowed for payment in excess of the ceiling in any case. The Prime Minister has further desired that for the financial year 2018-19 onwards a policy may be formulated by the new elected Government after Elections 2018.

The Chief Minister, Punjab is pleased to abolish fee of all laboratory investigations / tests in outsourced laboratories of public health facilities for current financial year with immediate effect. The decision of abolishment of laboratory investigations / tests fee shall be displayed at all prominent places in the hospital / health facility and shall be widely publicized.

I am directed to intimated that "Punjab Private School Complaints Management System" has been established to lodge complaints against private schools by the parents of the students on the official website of School Education Department at http://www.schools.punjab. gop.pk. I am further directed to request you to visit the aforementioned official website and resolve all pending complaints lodged by the parents of students of all private schools in accordance with law / rules / policy of the department. Government of Sindh, School Education & Literacy Department, Section Officer (B&U) issued notification regarding summer vacations for all public and private educational institutions in Sindh. With the approval of Chief Minister, Sindh, summer vacations for all public and private educational institutions in Sindh are hereby rescheduled with effect from 14.05.2018 to 16.07.2018 instead of 01.06.2018 to 31.07.2018 due to rising temperature and start of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak. All the Educational Institutions shall open on 17.07.2018.

It  was directed to advise CEOs, DHAs, Punjab that no further recruitment of School Health & Nutrition Supervisors (BS-17) will be carried out at district level. Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony, Accounts Officer-I issued schedule of deduction of Zakat at source in respect of saving banks / profit and loss sharing and similar bank accounts and deposit thereof immediately after deduction date.
