PROHIBITION OF BROADCAST OF PROGRAMME "DW SAWAL" AT EXPRESS NEWS

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Islamabad, Deputy General Manager (Operations Broadcast Media) issued a letter to Chief Executive Officer, M/S Television Media Network (Pvt.) Ltd. (Express News), Lahore regarding prohibition of broadcasting or re-broadcasting of programme titled "DW SawaL" with immediate effect. 
  • During the regular monitoring of the channel transmission, it has been observed that "Express News" is airing programme produced by foreign entity i.e. "Deutche Welle" titled "DW Sawal" on every Thursday at 01:30 pm.
  • Since, the afore-stated foreign programme is being aired on "Express News" unlawfully without any approval of the Authority, therefore, the competent authority in exercise of delegated powers of the Authority vested in Section 27(a) of the PEMRA Ordinance 2002 as amended by PEMRA (Amendment) Act 2007, hereby prohibits broadcast or re-broadcast of programme titled "DW Sawal" with immediate effect.
  • In case of non-compliance of the above prohibition orders, the Authority shall proceed against "Express News" under Section 30 of PEMRA Ordinance 2002 as amended by PEMRA (Amendment) 2007.

CLARIFICATION REGARDING CHANGE OF PROFESSION IN PASSPORT

Government of Pakistan, Directorate General, Immigration & Passports (Headquarter) issued Clarification regarding Change of Profession in Passport. In continuation of this Directorate General circular of even number dated 11-03-2019.   Directorate of Public Instruction(EE), Punjab Lahore issued directions regarding counter signatures on Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) of teaching staff and their uploading on School Information System (SIS).           Through a number of complaints received from different corners it has learnt that in the field offices, teachers are facing problems in getting countersignature on their performance evaluation reports(PERs) to update in HRMIS.            The matter has seriously been viewed.
