PROHIBITION OF BROADCAST OF PROGRAMME "VIEW 360" AND "SAIRBEEN" AT AAJ TV

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Islamabad, Deputy General Manager (Operations Broadcast Media) issued a letter to Chief Executive Officer, M/S Recorder Television Network (Pvt.) Ltd. (AAJ TV), Karachi regarding prohibition of broadcasting or re-broadcasting of programme titled "Wiew 360" and "Sairbeen" with immediate effect. 
  • During the regular monitoring of the channel transmission, it has been observed that "AAJ TV" is airing programme produced by foreign entity i.e. "Voice of America" titled "View 360" on weekdays (every Monday to Friday) at 07:00 pm.
  • Whereas, it has further been observed that "AAJ TV" is also airing programmes produced by foreign entity i.e. BBC titled "Sairbeen" on weekdays (every Monday to Friday) at 11:00PM.
  • Since, the afore-stated foreign programme is being aired on "AAJ TV" unlawfully without any approval of the Authority, therefore, the competent authority in exercise of delegated powers of the Authority vested in Section 27(a) of the PEMRA Ordinance 2002 as amended by PEMRA (Amendment) Act 2007, hereby prohibits broadcast or re-broadcast of programme titled "View 360" and "Sairbeen" with immediate effect.
  • In case of non-compliance of the above prohibition orders, the Authority shall proceed against "AAJ TV" under Section 30 of PEMRA Ordinance 2002 as amended by PEMRA (Amendment) 2007.

GRANT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer? Whether additional charge allowance against a post lower in status than the incumbent post-of the officer, holding the charge, can be allowed?  The case has been examined in the Finance Department. TIME SCALE UP-GRADATION TO NEXT HIGHER SCALE OF OFFICERS OF PITC

  Managing Director, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PVT.) Limited (PEPCO) issued an office order regarding time scale upgradation of officers of PITC from BPS-19 to BPS-20.
