NOTIFICATION REGARDING UPGRADATION OF THE POST OF JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICER FROM BPS-16 TO BPS-17

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Defence (Defence Division) issued a Notification regarding Upgradation of the Post of Junior Scientific Officer from BPS-16 to BPS-17. ESTABLISHMENT OF SUB CAMPUS OF GOVERNMENT COLLEGE UNIVERSITY AT HAFIZABAD

Higher Education Commission, Director General (P&D) issued a letter dated 29.08.2018 addressed to Vice Chancellor, Government College University, Faisalabad regarding grant of establishment of Sub-Campus of Government College University, Faisalabad at Hafizabad Detail of Letter:- This is with reference to meeting held in HEC through video conferencing wherein it has been mutually agreed that Government College University, Faisalabad will establish its campus at Hafizabad. NOTIFICATION REGARDING INTERNAL AUSTERITY MEASURES FOR THE MINISTRY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND TELECOMMUNICATION PAKISTAN

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Section Officer (General) issued a notification regarding Internal Austerity Measures for the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications. Detail of Notification:- In Light of the vision for curtailing government expenditure presented by the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan in his inaugural address to the nation on the 19th of August 2018, the following austerity measures are to be adopted within the Ministry of IT & Telecom with immediate effect: a) There will be a complete ban on serving of dinner / lunches / high tea during official meetings. AUSTERITY / ECONOMY MEASURES FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2018-19 TO USE THE PUBLIC MONEY BY FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department, Section Officer (Goods / Law) issued a letter vide No.FD.SO(GOODS)44-4/2016 dated 01.08.2018 regarding Austerity / Economy Measures for the Financial Year 2018-19. Detail of Letter:- I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that the Provincial Government has decided to observe utmost austerity in usage of public money through prudent financial management, observance of financial discipline, judicious reduction of the expenditures without compromising the essential and core organizational functions / activities. Expenditures shall be required to be realigned with organizational goals to make them target based and cost efficient. Wastage of resource and leakage of funds needs to be curbed strictly. REPLY IN RESPONSE TO THE REQUEST FOR UPGRADATION FOR THE POST OF ACCOUNTS CLERK

Government of the Punjab, Local Government & Community Development Department, Section Officer (ADMN-III) issued a letter Vide No.SO.ADMN.III(LG)3-164/2018 dated 27.07.2018 addressed to the Chairman Municipal Committee, Lodhran regarding request to upgrade the post of Accounts Clerk from BS-06 to BS-15. Detail of Letter:- The undersigned is directed to refer to your letter No.460/MOF dated 1405.2018 on the subject cited above and to convey that the request to upgrade the post of Accounts Clerk form BS-06 to BS-15 is not tenable. LOCAL HOLIDAY IN RAJANPUR DISTRICT ON 20.08.2018

Deputy Commissioner, Rajanpur issued a order dated 16.08.2018 regarding Local Holiday in the Revenue Limits of Rajanpur District. Detail of Order:- In exercise of the power conferred upon me by the Additional Chief Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Service & General Administration Department, Lahore vide Notification No.SOW-I(S&GAD) 1-3/2008(P-II) dated 25.01.2017, I, Allah Ditta Warraich Deputy Commissioner, Rajanpur do hereby declare 20th August, 2018 (Monday) as Local Holiday in the revenue limits of Rajanpur District. However, it will not apply to staff engaged in any examination duty / emergent duty.

REVISION OF RATES OF FIXED TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING TRANSGENDER STUDENTS BY SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT PUNJAB

Government of the Punjab, School Education Department, Section Officer (ACAD) issued a letter vide No.SO(A-I)2-15/2004(P-I) dated 08.08.2018 regarding Special Instructions Regarding Transgender Students:- Detail of Letter:- In order to recognize / protect the rights of transgender children in Pakistan under the Transgender Persons [Protection of Rights] Act, 2018 (Act No. XIII of 2018), it is advised that the following instructions be observed by the School Administration while dealing with Transgender Children: -  i- They must be treated on equal basis and in the Column of gender their real status (Transgender) may be mentioned at the time of admission.  ii- During Annual Enrollment & Retention Campaign, equal importance may be given for Boys, Girls and Transgender in order to achieve 100 % Enrollment & Retention targets.  I am, therefore, to request you to ensure implementation of the above directions / instruction in letter and spirit in all Government and Private Education

GRANT OF ADVANCE FULL PAY / PENSION TO ALL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES OF PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF SINDH ON THE EVE OF "EID UL AZHA"

Government of Sindh, Finance Department, Additional Finance Secretary (SR/ADMN) issued letter  vide No.FD(SR-I)1(70)/2001-2009 dated 10.08.2018 regarding grant of advance full pay / pension to all government employees of provincial government on the eve of Eid Ul Azha:- Detail of Letter:- I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that on account of Eid ul Azha falling on 22nd or 23rd August, 2018, the Government of Sindh has been pleased to decied that full pay and allowances / pension of the month of August, 2018 shall be paid in advance to all Muslim employees / pensioners of Provincial Government (including work charged and contingent paid establishment) on 17th August, 2018 instead of 1st September, 2018.

DISBURSEMENT OF PAY AND PENSION IN ADVANCE TO THE EMPLOYEES OF GOVERNMENT OF BALOCHISTAN

CLARIFICATION ABOUT ADMISSIBILITY OF ADHOC RELIEF ALLOWANCE 2018 ON PROMOTION OR UPGRADATION TO HIGHER SCALES AFTER 30.06.2017.

Government of Punjab, Finance Department, Deputy Sectretary (PC) issued a clarification letter regarding admissibility of adhoc relief allowance 2018 on promotion / upgradation to higher scales after 30.06.2017 vide No.FD.PC 2-1/2016(279/18) dated 02.08.2018: I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to stated that a question has arisen about admissibility of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2016 @ 10% of existing basic pay of Basic Pay Scales 2016 to those who have been promoted / upgraded to higher scales after 30.06.2017. RATE OF PROFIT ON GENERAL PROVIDENT FUND AND CONTRIBUTORY PROVIDENT FUND

Government of Pakistan, Finance Division (Regulations Wing), Deputy Secretary (R-III) issued a Resolution regarding rate of profit on General Provident Fund (GPF) and Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) vide No.F.2(1)-Reg-7/2014-440 dated 06.08.2018:- The rate of profit on deposits and on balance at the credit of the subscribers to the General Provident Fund and similar other Funds for the year 2016-17 was fixed under Finance Division's Resolution No.F.2(1)/2014-455 dated 22.08.2017 @ 11.30% per annum.  It has now been decided that the rate of profit applicable to the subscriptions and the balances in the various Provident Funds during the financial year beginning on the 1st, July, 2017 shall be 11.70% per annum.
