NOTIFICATION REGARDING CHANING OF NOMENCLATURE OF MEMBERS OF SCRUTINY COMMITTEE FOR RENAMING OF SCHOOL

  Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued notification regarding changed nomenclature of members of Scrutiny Committee for renaming of public school. In pursuance of Punjab Civil Administration Act, 2017 and in supersession of notification No.SO(P) Misc-209 / 2009 dated 06.09.2012, the nomenclature of the members of Scrutiny Committee is hereby changed as under: Executive District Officer (Education) to Chief Executive Officer (DEA) Executive District Officer (Community Development) to Deputy Director Finance (DEA) Concerned District Education Officer to District Education Officer District Monitoring Officer to District Monitoring Officer Moreover, the nomenclature of District Coordination Officer (DCO) has now been converted to Deputy Commissioner.

POLICY TO RENAME PUBLIC A SCHOOL

  Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a policy to name / rename of school in favour of donors of land or a Shaheed etc. School Education Department quite often receives proposals regarding naming / re-naming of schools in favour of donors of land for schools or his / her nearest kin, or a Shaheed, etc. Competent Authority has been pleased to approve the following Policy on the subject:- Schools may be named after persons whose names lend prestige and status to an institution of learning and whose lives and achievements serve as a positive role model for the students attending schools: and  A person who donates land for Primary or Elementary schools and desires to name the school according to his or her choice should have a non political stature. REGULARIZATION OF CONTRACT EMPLOYEES RECRUITED UNDER 17-A RULE W.E.F DATE OF APPOINTMENT

  Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department (Regulations Wing) issued a letter regarding regularization of contract employees recruited under rule 17-A. As per Regulations Wing, S&GAD's aforesaid circular letter dated 29.10.2019, the services of all the employees appointed in terms of Rule 17-A of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment & Conditions of Service) Rules, 1974, were allowed to be made on regular basis. It was stated in that letter that in future all the appointments shall be made on regular basis. Accordingly, it was construed that the said direction was to be implemented prospectively. However, that view point was challenged in the Lahore High Court Lahore. The Honorable Court deemed regular employees with effect from the date of the initial appointments. AIRING OF INFORMATIVE TV COMMERCIALON SCHOOL ENROLLMENT CAMPAIGN 2021

 School Education Department (SED) has initiated School Enrollment Drive 2021 in order to bring out-of-school children back to schools. The campaign will also contribute to improve attendance and retention of students as schools open after the second wave of COVID-19. As part of School Enrollment Drive, School Education Department is launching a mass media awareness campaign through print, electronic and digital media.  Mass media campaign will include an informative TV commercial to sensitize parents and community to send missed outs, dropped out never gone and out of school children to schools and to encourage them to continue their education This TV commercial will be aired on national TV channels till 16 February. To ensure optimum transmission of the message, SED intends to air it through local cable channels across Punjab.  TV Commercial will be shared with District Education Authorities by PMIU so that the Deputy Commissioners can ensure its transmission through local cable net

KASHMIR SOLIDARITY DAY

 Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Interior issued a press regarding holiday on 5th February, 2021 for Kashmir Solidarity Day with Kashmiris. It is notified for general Information that 5th February, 2021 (Friday) shall be public holiday for observing " KASHMIR SOLIDARITY DAY " with Kashmiris to signify political and moral support in their struggle for self-determination and to honor Kashmiris Shuhada, one minute silence shall be observed at 10:00 hours on the same day.  The above Press Release may kindly be published in all major English and Urdu Dailies both at National and Regional levels and also be given wide publicity through electronic media.

STARTING OF PRIMARY AND ELEMENTARY CLASSES IN ALL PUBLIC / PRIVATE SCHOOLS / MADARIS / AUTONOMOUS AND SPECIAL INSTITUTIONS

RETIREMENT OF EMPLOYEES OF SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT VIA QR CODE

  Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued instructions regarding issuance of retirement notification through QR Coded orders. NOTIFICATION REGARDING STARTING OF ELEMENTARY AND PRIMARY CLASSES IN SCHOOLS

  Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a notification regarding start of Elementary and Primary Classes in all Educational Institutions. CLARIFICATION REGARDING PREPARATION OF PERs FILES OF EDUCATION DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES

  Directorate of Public Instruction (SE), Punjab, Lahore issued a clarification regarding preparation of PERs files of Teachers, Officers and Officials. NOTIFICATION REGARDING RECITATION OF SURAHS INSTEAD OF OBSERVANCE OF ONE MINUTE SILENCE TO TRIBUTE A DECEASED MUSLIM PERSON

  Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony issued a notification regarding recitation of Surahs instead of one minute of silence to tribute deceased Muslim person. It is notified for information of general public that in order to tribute a deceased Muslim person or to hold a day of his remembrance the following practice which is in accordance with the injunctions of Islam may be observed instead of observing one minute of silence: Surah Al Fatiha Surah Al Ikhlaas  Darood Shareef  Duaa-e-Maghfirat  However, non Muslims living in the country may observe such events as per their own practice and religious beliefs.

IMPLEMENTATION OF SINGLE NATIONAL CURRICULUM (SNC) FOR GRADES PRE I-V FOR IN ALL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

  Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board issued a notification regarding implementation of Single National Curriculum for Grades Pre I-V in all Public, Private and Deeni Madaris as developed by the Federal Government. In pursuance of Reminder No. PM's Office U.O. COMPLETION OF PERs 2020 OF EMPLOYEES OF HIGH / HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOLS OF HAFIZABAD

ONE YEAR RELAXATION FOR AQUIRING B.ED FOR EDUCATORS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR REGULARIZATION

  Government of the Punjab, School Education Department granted one year relaxation to Educators to acquire professional qualification of B.Ed to qualify for regularization. The competent authority has granted an extension for a period of one year to the Educators recruited in the year 2015 and onwards, beyond their contractual period of 05-years, to acquire professional qualification of B.Ed. They may, thereafter, be considered for regularization as per rules / policy.

GRANT OF INCENTIVE ALLOWANCE FOR PUNJAB REVENUE AUTHORITY

  Government of the Punjab, Finance Department granted incentive allowance for Punjab Revenue Authority employees. AMENDEMENT REGARDING SANCTIONING AUTHORITY FOR MATERNITY LEAVE

  Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a notification regarding amendment of sanctioning authority for maternity leave. In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974, Governor of the Punjab is pleased to direct that in the Punjab (Civil Services) Delegation of Powers Rules, 1983, the following amendment shall be made:  AMENDMENT   In the said Rules, in Appendix 'A', at Serial No.19, in the Table, after Sr. No.(v), the following entries at Sr. No.(vi) under the respective headings shall be inserted:  (VI) Maternity or paternity leave to a civil servant Immediate lncharge (Sanctioning Authority).

AMENDMENTS IN THE RULE REGARDING MATERNITY LEAVE

  Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a notification regarding amendments in the rule regarding maternity leave.  In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 197 4 {VI II of 197 4), Governor of the Punjab is pleased to direct that in the Revised Leave Rules, 1981, the following amendments shall be made:  AMENDMENTS   In the said Rules, in rule 13:   (a) for sub-rule (1), the following shall be substituted:   "(1) A female civil servant may, for the maximum period of ninety days, be granted maternity leave with full pay outside her leave account, at any time, immediately before or after the birth of a child and she shall not be required to provide fitness certificate for purposes of joining duties after such leave." and  (b) after sub-rule (7), the following sub-rule (8) shall be inserted: " "(8) A male civil servant may, for a maximum period of seven days, be granted paternity leave · on full
