AMENDMENTS IN THE RULE REGARDING MATERNITY LEAVE

 Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a notification regarding amendments in the rule regarding maternity leave. 


In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 197 4 {VI II of 197 4), Governor of the Punjab is pleased to direct that in the Revised Leave Rules, 1981, the following amendments shall be made: 

AMENDMENTS 

In the said Rules, in rule 13: 

 (a) for sub-rule (1), the following shall be substituted: 

 "(1) A female civil servant may, for the maximum period of ninety days, be granted maternity leave with full pay outside her leave account, at any time, immediately before or after the birth of a child and she shall not be required to provide fitness certificate for purposes of joining duties after such leave." and 


(b) after sub-rule (7), the following sub-rule (8) shall be inserted: "

"(8) A male civil servant may, for a maximum period of seven days, be granted paternity leave · on full pay outside his leave account on or immediat~ly before the birth of his child: 

Provided that such leave shall be admissible only for two times during the entire service."

CIVIL SERVANTS EFFICIENCY AND DISCIPLINE RULES 2020

  Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat (Establishment Division) made Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules, 2020.  Prime Minister approved to make the following rules:-  1.
