INCREASE IN THE FINE / PENALTY ON TRAFFIC VIOLATION

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Operations, Lahore write letter to the Capital City Police Officer, Lahore to enhance penalty / fine on the traffic violations to restrain the people for such violations:- Detail of Letter:- It is submitted that almost daily 6000 traffic violations are observed in city  district Lahore and this is a huge number. Such violations are a major cause of slow  traffic, blockage of roads and accidents. NOTIFICATION REGARDING CONSTITUTION OF TASK FORCE OF CIVIL SERVICE REFORMS

WARNING REGARDING SIGNIFICANT FLOOD FORECAST IN RIVER CHENAB AND RAVI

Government of the Punjab, Disaster Management Department / PDMA issued a warning regarding High to Very High Flood Situation in River Chenab. Detail:- Pakistan Metrological Department vide its Bulletin No. A-099/18, dated 21-09- 2018 has intimated that high to very high Flood situation is expected in River Chenab along with  associated Nullahs of Rivers Chenab and Ravi from 23 September 2018 onwards. Flood situation  in Rivers Sutlej and Ravi will depend upon the outflows from Indian Reservoirs. Flows are also  likely to increase in River Jhelum. It is therefore, requested that all concerned may be informed to take necessary pre- cautionary measures in low-lying / vulnerable areas to avoid any loss of life damage to public as  well as private property, under intimation to PDMA, Punja b.
