Under Rule 3(V) of the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1976 read with amendment in Contract Recruitment Policy, 2004 vide No.DS(O&M)5-3/2001/Contract(MF) dated 19.01.2012 passed by S&GAD, Govt. of the Punjab, the expression "in service candidates" in Para 4(2)(C) of the Recruitment Policy 2016-17 means both contract and regular in-service candidates. In view of the above, the contract service is also included towards service rendered by the in-service candidates for age relaxation.

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Interior issued an office memorandum regarding Up-Gradation of Ministerial Posts (Head Clerk Posts). Initially, the subject case was taken up by this Ministry with Establishment Division (MS Wing), Establishment Division (Regulations Wing) and Finance Division (Regulations Wing) for up-gradation of Head Clerk posts from BS-10 to BS-14. As per budget speech, Federal Government announced scale wise salaries increase for Financial Year 2019-20. 10% adhoc relief allowance will be granted on the running basic pay of BPS 2017 to the employees from Grade 1 to 16. 5% adhoc relief allowance will be granted to the employees from Grade 17 to 20. There will be no increase for employees from Grade 21 to 22. 10% will be increased in net pension for pensioners.
