Under Rule 3(V) of the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1976 read with amendment in Contract Recruitment Policy, 2004 vide No.DS(O&M)5-3/2001/Contract(MF) dated 19.01.2012 passed by S&GAD, Govt. of the Punjab, the expression "in service candidates" in Para 4(2)(C) of the Recruitment Policy 2016-17 means both contract and regular in-service candidates. In view of the above, the contract service is also included towards service rendered by the in-service candidates for age relaxation.

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Interior issued an office memorandum regarding Up-Gradation of Ministerial Posts (Head Clerk Posts). Initially, the subject case was taken up by this Ministry with Establishment Division (MS Wing), Establishment Division (Regulations Wing) and Finance Division (Regulations Wing) for up-gradation of Head Clerk posts from BS-10 to BS-14. Accordingly, Establishment Division (MS Wing) vide O.M No.F.5(14)/2017-MSW-II) dated 22nd February, 2018 (Annex-I) has up-graded the post from BS-10 to BS-14 subject to fulfillment of all procedural & codal formalities and approval of the Regulation Wings of Establishment and Finance Divisions. Similarly, Establishment Division (Regulations Wing) was also up-graded the post from BS-10 to BS-14 vide O.M No.8/14/2016, R-5(Pt-I) dated 16th May, 2018 (Annex-II). On the approval of the competent authority, the Government of Gilgit Baltistan in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under section 5 of the Land Revenue Act, 1967 is pleased to notify the following four Sub-Divisions as separate Districts of Gilgit Baltistan having the same territorial jurisdiction / boundaries as earlier:- District Gupis - Yasin in Gilgit Division District Rondu in Baltistan Division District Darel in Diamer - Astore Division District Tangir in Diamer - Astore Division It is clarified that the Revenue Division: Police Ranges - Subdivisions - Tehsils and Sub Tehsils / Niabats shall remain the same as previously.
