The Regulations Wing, S&GAD has examined the matter and it is observed that:  The civil servants retired on medical grounds in category “A” or “B” only are entitled to get the benefit of job under Rule 17-A of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment & Conditions) Service Rules, 1974, in favour of their wives / children, provided they are otherwise eligible for the posts.  The civil servants declared invalidated in category “C” are not entitled to get the benefit of job in favour of their children / wives under Rule 17-A of the rules ibid.
