NOTIFICATION REGARDING REOPENING OF MEDICAL / DENTAL / NURSING / PARAMEDICAL / ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES UNIVERSITIES / COLLEGES / SCHOOLS

 Government of the Punjab, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department issued a notification regarding reopening of Medical Universities /  Colleges, Dental Colleges, Nursing Schools / Colleges, Paramedical / Allied Health Sciences Schools / Colleges.

In pursuance of decision of the Task Force on COVID-19, following instructions issued for immediate compliance by all the concerned:- 

i.     All the public and private Medical Universities/ Medical Colleges, Dental Colleges, Nursing Schools/Colleges, Paramedical Allied Health Sciences Schools/Colleges shall be opened from 27th May, 2021. However, only the students of 3rd year, 4th year of BDS and 3rd year, 4th year and Final year MBBS are required to attend the classes on campus strictly as per the SOPs. The concerned Vice Chancellor/ Principal ensure arrangements for vaccination of all the students. The concerned College / Hospital administration are responsible to ensure strict implementation of SOPs. 

ii.     All the concerned Medical Superintendents are directed to relieve the Nursing Students and Nursing Officers who are admitted for post-RN BSc Nursing/One Year Specialization Course to attend their classes as already communicated vide this Department's order No. SO (N&AHSE) 6-8/2019 (CN)P dated 20/5/2021. 

iii.     No sports/ cultural other event would be held in the public and private Medical Colleges, Dental Colleges, Nursing Schools/Colleges, Paramedical Allied Health Sciences Schools/Colleges till further orders. 

The Vice Chancellor, University of Health Sciences, Lahore shall ensure implementation of these instructions by all the affiliated private sector Medical and Dental Colleges in Punjab.
