TIME SCALE UP-GRADATION TO NEXT HIGHER SCALE OF OFFICERS OF PITC

 Managing Director, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PVT.) Limited (PEPCO) issued an office order regarding time scale upgradation of officers of PITC from BPS-19 to BPS-20.


In pursuance of PEPCO's Office Memorandum No.GM(HR)/HRD/A-693/17384-421 dated: 27.05.2010, No.GM(HR)/HRD/A-693/1250-81 dated 17.08.2010, NO.GM(HR)/HRD/A-693(M)/ 2032-63 dated 29.09.2011, No. GM(HR)/HRD/3695-3720 dated 21.12.2011 and the Meeting of Time Scale Up-gradation(TSU) board held on 31.10.2020, the following officers of PITC, are hereby allowed up-gradation from BPS-19 to BPS-20 with effect from the dates mentioned against each: 

  1. Muhammad Fiaz Awan Director (IT) w.e.f 27.08.2019
  2. Attique Ahmad Director (IT) w.e.f 27.08.2019 

The above officers will hold the same posts but with a changed designation of next higher post in line by prefixing the word "Additional". 

The officers so upgraded, if already exercising financial powers, shall exercise enhanced financial powers i.e. enhanced by 50% of the difference between the financial powers, under the relevant Book of Financial Powers, as available to their original post and the financial powers available to the next higher post in line. 

Before release of arrears, concerned HR and Accounts offices should re-confirm the date of admissibility w.e.t. taking over charge as SE/Director (BPS-19) in pursuance of relevant PEPCO promotion order. In case of any discrepancy, relevant case be referred to this office for necessary modification.

The said officers shall remain under the administrative control as per their original structural hierarchy. 

This up-gradation shall not entitle them to claim regular promotion in the upgraded scale. 

If any concealment / misrepresentation or forging of the information relating 36 the eligibility for this up-gradation is revealed out at any later stage, then up-gradation orders will be liable for ab-initio cancellation besides recovery of pecuniary benefits.

GRANT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer? Whether additional charge allowance against a post lower in status than the incumbent post-of the officer, holding the charge, can be allowed?  The case has been examined in the Finance Department.
