NCC meeting chaired by Prime Minister was held on 23 April 21 and was attended by CMs provinces and all stakeholders. Taking stock of current COVID situation in country and host of religious / cultural activities in the month of Ramadan ul Mubarak: forum decided implementation of following NPIs in addition to already enforced NPIS:
a. There will be complete closure of schools in districts beyond 5% positivity including classes from 9-12. Maximum emphasis on online learning
b. Complete ban is imposed on all activities after 6:00 PM till Sehr. Exemptions given only to essential services (petrol pumps, medical stores and vaccination centers etc) Section 144 will be imposed for strict implementation of NPIs.
c. 2 x days will be observed as closed days during a week (choice of days will be as per discretion of federating units). Exemptions given only to essential services (petrol pumps, medical stores, vaccination centers, poultry and vegetable shops etc). Section 144 will be imposed for strict implementation of NPls.
d. Complete ban is imposed on indoor and outdoor dining: however, takeaways will be allowed
e. All indoor gyms will be closed throughout the country.
f. Reduced office hours will be observed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM by all public / private offices / departments
g. Strict implementation of 50% work from home policy will be observed by all public private offices departments.
h. Stringent tourism protocols will be implemented by all federating units to curtail mobility / influx of tourists especially during Eid holidays.
These NPls will be implemented forthwith and will remain enforced till 17 May 21. Review will be carried out at NCOC on 11 May 2021.
