USE OF ENGLISH TERMINOLOGY FOR RELIGIOUS WORDS

Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat, Capital Administration and Development Division, Curriculum Development and Textbook Production Wing issued an office memorandum regarding use of religious words in english.

The undersigned is directed to forward the directions of Islamic Ideological Council's (Islami Nazariati Council) vide letter No. 12-2013-R-C-11/70 dated 29th August 2013 regarding writing following terminologies / words related to religion in all the textual materials including textbooks being developed by National Book Foundation, Islamabad:-

  • اللہ  Allah (wrong God)
  • نبی ۔ رسول  Nabi / Rasool (wrong Prophet / Messenger)
  • آیت کریمہ  Ayah (wrong Verse))
  • مسجد  Masjid (wrong Mosque)
  • نماز  Namaz / Salah  (wrong Prayer)
  • روزہ  Rozah / Soam  (wrong Fast)
  • صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم  Sal-Allah-u-Alaih-i-Wasallam
It is requested that all the words / terminologies referred by Islamic Ideological Council's (Islami Nazariati Council) may be ensured while developing textual material as well as textbooks in true letter and spirit.

This issues with the approval of Secretary, Capital Administration and Development Division.

CIVIL SERVANTS EFFICIENCY AND DISCIPLINE RULES 2020

  Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat (Establishment Division) made Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules, 2020.  Prime Minister approved to make the following rules:-  1.
