APPEARANCE OF SENATOR HAFIZ HAMDULLAH SABOOR ON TV CHANNELS

Pakistan Electronic Media, Regulatory Authority, Islamabad issued a letter regarding Appearance of Senator Hafiz Hamdullah Saboor on TV Channels.

  • The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) vide its letter dated October 11. 2019 has conveyed that Senator Hafiz Hamdullah Saboor is "confirmed Alien" as he is not a citizen of Pakistan.
  • Therefore, NADRA vide its orders U/S 18(1) & 17(2) has cancelled and digitally impounded the CNIC issued to Mr. Hafiz Hamduallah Saboor.
  • Since, it is established that the said person is an alien', therefore, all the TV channels (News & Current Affairs) are directed to refrain from inviting and projecting Mr. Hafiz Hamdullah Saboor in their programmes / talk shows, news etc.
  • This issues with approval of the competent authority.

CLARIFICATION REGARDING CHANGE OF PROFESSION IN PASSPORT

Government of Pakistan, Directorate General, Immigration & Passports (Headquarter) issued Clarification regarding Change of Profession in Passport. In continuation of this Directorate General circular of even number dated 11-03-2019. The following clarifications are given as under: Case#1:- Hujjaj who obtained passports in private capacity being a government servant and have deposited their passport with Ministry of Religious Affairs or proceeded abroad for performing Hajj / Hajj duty.
