NOTIFICATION REGARDING REVISION OF PAY SCALES AND FRINGE BENEFITS OF CIVIL EMPLOYEES (BPS-1 TO 22) OF THE SINDH GOVERNMENT 2001

Notification of Revised Pay Scale 2001 for the provincial Government Employees of Sindh i.e.;
The pay scales 2001 were revised with effect from 01-12-2001.
The important features of the Notification Revised Pay Scale 2001 are as follows:-

> Revised Pay Scale 1994 were replaced by Revised Pay Scale 2001.
> Discontinuation of Allowances:
1. Cost of Living Allowances to BPS-01 to BPS-22 @ 7% of Basic Pay
2. Adhoc Relief of Rs. 300/- per month and Rs. 100/- per month to BPS-01 to BPS-16 (Inclusive of BPS-17 by virtue of Move Over)
3. Secretariat Personal Allowance
> Special Additional Allowance @ 20% & 25% was frozen
> Daily Allowance rates were increased
> Medical Allowance was also increased
> Computer Allowance was also enhanced
> Special Pay & Allowances were also enhanced
> Selection Grade & Move Over were also discontinued
> Advance Increments were also discontinued wef 1st December 2001

> Conveyance Allowance Rates were also increased

GRANT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer? Whether additional charge allowance against a post lower in status than the incumbent post-of the officer, holding the charge, can be allowed?  The case has been examined in the Finance Department. TIME SCALE UP-GRADATION TO NEXT HIGHER SCALE OF OFFICERS OF PITC

  Managing Director, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PVT.) Limited (PEPCO) issued an office order regarding time scale upgradation of officers of PITC from BPS-19 to BPS-20.
