Government of the Punjab, Finance Department, Section Officer (SR-III) issued a clarification letter regarding the payment of pension to divorced daughter vide No.FD-SR-III-4-302/2015 dated 19.07.2018:- The reply of Finance Department tendered vide Para-2(Sr.04) of this Department's Letter of even number dated 13.04.2016 may be substituted and read as under:- " The facility of family pension to a widow / divorced daughter is linked with following two conditions:- i) that the widowed / divorced daughter does not marry; AND ii) that she has no regular source of income. However, it does not matter whether her children are adult or otherwise. "

Director General (Accreditation & Attestation) Higher Education Commission (HEC) issued Notification on 02.08.2018 Regarding Attestation of Degrees:- It is notified that the Competent Authority has decided that every degree will be attested solely on its merits i.e. whether it has been issued by a recognized institution and whether the institution has the legal authority to issue such degree. Applicants for attestation will no longer be required to submit information about previous or subsequent academic qualifications. Detail of Notification:- The Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to sanction the revision in the rates of House Rent Allowance w.e.f 01.07.2018 to the Punjab Government Employees as under:- LOCATION EXISTING REVISED In Declared Big Cities 45% of the Minimum of Basic Pay Scale 2008 Increase in the amount of House Rent Allowance @ 50% of the existing amounts being drawn. Other Cities 30% of the Minimum of Basic Pay Scale 2008 Increase in the amount of House Rent Allowance @ 50% of the existing amounts being drawn. All other existing terms & conditions regulating the House Rent Allowance will continue to apply.
