Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a clarification regarding grant of advance increment to English Teachers.
The case was examined in the Department and observed that the Hon'ble Court's in a number of writ petitions have allowed advance increments to appellants on the basis of higher qualification. The same is also upheld by the apex Court of Pakistan. Therefore, some of the English Teachers are getting the benefit of advance increments on the basis of higher qualification.
In view of the above, the department proposes that the benefit may be extended to all those English Teachers who are at par with those who have been granted the relief.
