Government of the Punjab, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department issued a notification regarding amendment in Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotions and Regulations) Ordinance 2020. It is necessary to amend the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) Ordinance, 1984 (IV of 1984) for purposes hereinafter appearing. Provincial Assembly of the Punjab is not in session and Governor of the Punjab is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action. In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (1) of Article 128 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance: Short title and commencement .- (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) (Amendment) Ordinance 2020. Government of the Punjab, School Education Department, Section (SE-I) issued a letter regarding confirming the additional charge of the posts of District Education Officers and Deputy District Education Officers in District Chakwal. School Education Department has already been circulated instructions to all Deputy Commissioners and Chief Executive Officers (DEA) in the Punjab, vide letter dated 14.05.2020 (copy enclosed) that no regular posting / assigning of additional charge against vacant posts of DEOs (SE / EE) & Dy. Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department (Regulation Wing) issued an amendment in promotion policy 2010 teachers. The Chief Minister, Punjab has been pleased to approve the following further amendment in para 6 (8) (a) of the Promotion Policy - 2010: "Para 6(8)(a) Teachers, whose results are compared with the results of the Boards / Universities, last three years terminal board results may be considered out of which any two year's results should be equal or within the margin of 10% below (for each result)-from the concerned board / university result, while remaining one year's result may be ignored provided that other service record of the officer concerned is satisfactory.  Note: In case of head of teaching institution, overall result of the Institution may be considered."
