PROHIBITION OF PUBLISHMENT OF THE BOOKLET SERIES TITLED INFANT MATHEMATICS

Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) issued a letter regarding prohibition of publishing of the booklet series titled Infant Mathematics (Pakistan Edition) prior approval of PCTB.

It has come to know that the subject cited booklet series published by M/S Sunrise Publications contains material and content falling under Section 10(5) of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbooks Board Act 2015 under which printing, publication, selling or prescribing in an institution of any textbook or supplementary material which is or is likely to be detrimental for examination or assessment purposes, or which contains anything repugnant to the injunctions of Islam or contrary to the integrity, defence or security of Pakistan, or any part of Pakistan, public order or morality cannot be approved.


Further, the cited booklet series is being published and sold without prior approval of Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, which is a violation of Section 10 of Punjab Curriculum and Textbooks Board Act 2015.


You are therefore, directed to stop producing, printing, publishing, selling or using in any institution of the said booklet series and immediately recall its stock from Schools, Book Shops and from any other place.


You are warned that if you fail to comply with the above direction, strict action will be taken against you under Section 14 of the Act (ibid) which carries punishment of imprisonment up to two years as well as fine, and you may also be disqualified for grant of any permissions regarding printing, publication or sale of any book, newspaper or any other supplementary reading material for up to five years, and you may also be prosecuted under other penal laws of Pakistan.


It is to be treated as most important and an implementation report must be submitted to the Board within seven (7) working days of receipt of this direction.

GRANT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer? Whether additional charge allowance against a post lower in status than the incumbent post-of the officer, holding the charge, can be allowed?  The case has been examined in the Finance Department. TIME SCALE UP-GRADATION TO NEXT HIGHER SCALE OF OFFICERS OF PITC

  Managing Director, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PVT.) Limited (PEPCO) issued an office order regarding time scale upgradation of officers of PITC from BPS-19 to BPS-20.
