RETAIL PRICE OF BRICKS IN DISTRICT OKARA

Deputy Commissioner, Okara issued order regarding Maximum Retail Price of Bricks.

In exercise of powers delegated to me under Section 3 of the Punjab Essential Articles Control Act 1973 and Section 6 the Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act 1977 (XXIX of 1977). I MARRYAM KHAN, DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OKARA do hereby fix the maximum retail price of the bricks at source in the revenue limits of Okara District as mentioned below:-



  • A-Class Bricks (Awal) (225x112.5x75mm) with size 9"x4.5"x3" @ Rs.6800/- Per Thousand
  • B-Class Bricks (Doim) (225x112.5x75mm) with size 9"x4.5"x3" @ Rs.5300/- Per Thousand


    No brick kiln owner shall charge or cause to be charged the prices of the bricks in excess of the rate fixed above. Each brick kiln owner shall display the fixed rates on conspicuous place of the kiln. The bricks shall be baked with coal. If any brick kiln owner contravenes the order, he shall be awarded punishment as specified in Price Control and Presentation of Profiteering and Hoarding Act, 1977.

    This order shall take effect immediately and remain in force in the revenue limits of Okara District till further orders. It shall be given wide publicity by publication in official gazette/local news papers affixing copies thereof on the notice boards.

    Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer?
