RANT OF ADHOC RELIEF ALLOWANCE 2019 TO THE CIVIL SERVANTS OF BALOCHISTAN GOVERNMENT

Government of Balochistan, Finance Department issued notification regarding Grant of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2019 to the Civil Servants of Balochistan Government.

The Government of Balochistan has been pleased to sanction an Adhoc Relief Allowance-2019 in favour of all Provincial Government employees including contingent paid staff and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms & conditions of contract appointment with effect from 1" July, 2019 as below:


A) BPS-1 to BPS-16 @ 10% of the Basic Pay
B) BPS-17 to 20 @5% of the Basic Pay

The amount of this Adhoc Relief Allowance-2019;

  • will be subject to Income Tax; 
  • will be admissible during leave and entire period of LPR except during extra ordinary leave;
  • will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension/gratuity and recovery of House Rent;
  • will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/deputation abroad, and
  • will be admissible to the employees on their repatriation from posting/deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad.
  • The term "Basic Pay" for the purpose of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2019 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increment(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales.
The above Adhoc Relief Allowance-2019 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the year 2019-20 by the respective Departments and no supplementary grants would be given on this account.

GRANT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer? Whether additional charge allowance against a post lower in status than the incumbent post-of the officer, holding the charge, can be allowed?  The case has been examined in the Finance Department.
