GRANT OF COMPUTER ALLOWANCE TO COMPUTER PERSONNEL OF DISTRICT MONITORING OFFICE PAKPATTAN

Programme Monitoring & Implementation Unit, Punjab Education Sector Reform Programme (PMIU-PESRP) issued a letter addressed to District Monitoring Officer, Pakpattan to clarify the Grant of Computer Allowance to Computer Personnel.

It is clarified as under:-

  • The Senior Data Processors (BS-16) are entitled to receive computer allowance @ Rs. 1500/- per month in the light of Finance Department's circular letter No. FD. PC-2-1/2001 dated 22.10.2001 read with Finance Department's circular letters dated 20.07.1988 and 22.09.1986. 
  • The Data Processors (BS-12) and Computer Operators (BS-12) are entitled to receive computer allowance @ rate of Rs.750/- per month in the light of Finance Department's circular letter No. FD.SR-1/28-1/2003 dated 27.12.2004 read with Finance Department circular letters dated 22.10.2001 and 20.07.1988. However, Mr. Azhar Ahmad, Computer Operator is not entitled to receive computer allowance as he does not possess the requisite qualifications prescribed in the service rules of the post i.e. (i) Intermediate (at least 2nd Division) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized board and (ii) A diploma in computer application from a recognized institute.

TIME SCALE UP-GRADATION TO NEXT HIGHER SCALE OF OFFICERS OF PITC

  Managing Director, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PVT.) Limited (PEPCO) issued an office order regarding time scale upgradation of officers of PITC from BPS-19 to BPS-20. GRANT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer? Whether additional charge allowance against a post lower in status than the incumbent post-of the officer, holding the charge, can be allowed?  The case has been examined in the Finance Department.
