CONSTITUTION OF COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE PAY PACKAGE OF PUNJAB POLICE

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab issued a notification regarding Constitution of Committee to Review the Pay Package of Punjab Police.


Chief Minister Punjab has been please to constitute the following Committee on the subject matter:
  1. Minister for Finance (Convener)
  2. Minster for Law (Co-Convener)
  3. Inspector General of Police / PPO (Member)
  4. ACS (Home) (Member)
  5. Secretary Finance (Secretary)
The terms of Reference (TORs) of the Committee shall be as under:

i. To compare and evaluate Special Pay Package / Incentive introduced by the Government of Punjab for Punjab Police in 2009 and its diminishing effects with the passage of time.

ii. To examine / review the following proposals of Punjab Police as compared to the improved pay packages of employees of Civil Secretariat / Other Departments etc;
  • Fixed Daily Allowance be granted as per revised daily allowance of 2013 or 2017 (instead of 2005) and its financial implication.
  • Police Law & Order Allowance be granted as per revised pay scales of 2011 or 2017 (instead of 2008) and its financial implication.
iii. To harmonize the pay package of all formations of Police Department including Punjab Highway Patrol and Punjab Police Traffic Warden Service.

The Committee shall meet immediately and furnish its recommendations to the Chief Minister within fortnightly positively.

GRANT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued clarification regarding grant of additional charge allowance. I am directed to refer to this Department's circular letter No.FD.SRII.2-38/70, dated 17.03.1988, on the subject cited above and state that following questions have arisen about the subject matter: Whether additional charge allowance for more than one posts can be granted to the same officer? Whether additional charge allowance against a post lower in status than the incumbent post-of the officer, holding the charge, can be allowed?  The case has been examined in the Finance Department. TIME SCALE UP-GRADATION TO NEXT HIGHER SCALE OF OFFICERS OF PITC

  Managing Director, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PVT.) Limited (PEPCO) issued an office order regarding time scale upgradation of officers of PITC from BPS-19 to BPS-20.
