UP-GRADATION OF COMPUTER PERSONNEL OF DMO OFFICES AND PMIU-PESRP

Programme Monitoring & Implementation Unit (PMIU), Punjab Education Sector Reform Programme (PESRP), Lahore issued a letter addressed to Section Officer (Budget-I), Government of the Punjab, School Education Department for advice / clarification regarding up-gradation of computer personnel of DMO offices and PMIU-PESPR.
  • It is to state that existing nomenclature of the posts of Data Entry Operator / Computer Operator / Key Punch Operator / Key Punch Verifying Operator / Composer / System Operator has been re-designated as Junior Computer Operator (BPS-12) vide Finance Department's circular letter No. FD.PC 40-43/2017(E) dated 14.12.2018 (copy enclosed). Similarly the post of Data Processing Officer / Computer Operator has been re-designated as Senior Computer Operator (BPS-16). The posts of Data Input Operator (BPS-12), Data Processor (BPS-12) and Senior Data Processor (BPS-16) have not been included in the re-designated computer posts. Minimum qualifications of the posts of Data Input Operator (BPS-12), Data Processor (BPS-12) and Senior Data Processor (BPS-16) as prescribed in the service rules of these posts is described as under (copies enclosed);
  • Data Input Operator / Data Processor (BPS-12)
  1. Intermediate (II Division) / D.Com / I.Com or Equivalent.
  2. Must qualify data entry test @1000 key depression per hour or typing test at a minimum speed 40 words per minute. Preference will be given to those having previous knowledge of word processing.
  • Senior Data Processor (BPS-16)
  1. II class Bachelor's degree in computer science / Bachelor Degree (II class) preferably with Statistics / Mathematics / Physics / Economics from a recognized university with one year diploma course in computer science from recognized university / institution.
  • I am, therefore, directed to request that necessary clarification / advice may please be sought from Finance Department regarding re-designation of the posts of Data Input Operator (BPS-12), Data Processor (BPS-12) and Senior Data Processor relating to PMIU-PESRP and DMO offices.

CIVIL SERVANTS EFFICIENCY AND DISCIPLINE RULES 2020

  Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat (Establishment Division) made Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules, 2020.  Prime Minister approved to make the following rules:-  1. Short title, Commencement and Application:-  (1) These rules shall be called the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.  (2) These shall come into force at once and shall apply to every Civil Servant. 2.  Definitions:-  (1) In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context requires otherwise; (a) "Act" means Civil Servants Act, 1973 (Act No. LXXI of 1973); (b) "accused" means a civil servant against whom action is initiated under these rules; (c) "authority" means the appointing authority as prescribed in rule 6 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973: Provided that where proceedings under these rules are to be initiated against two or more civil servants jointly, the authority in relation

COUNTER SIGNATURE ON PERs OF TEACHING STAFF AND THEIR UPLOADING ON SIS

  Directorate of Public Instruction(EE), Punjab Lahore issued directions regarding counter signatures on Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) of teaching staff and their uploading on School Information System (SIS).           Through a number of complaints received from different corners it has learnt that in the field offices, teachers are facing problems in getting countersignature on their performance evaluation reports(PERs) to update in HRMIS.            The matter has seriously been viewed. In this regard you are directed to make it simple and easy for all teachers through establishing PERs desks in CEO office, where all such teachers who have not yet got countersigned their PERs will submit their PERs for counter signature from the concerned countersigning officer.            The incharge / focal person of desk shall provide these PERs to · concerned counter singing authority through special messenger and after counter signature the counter signing authority will provide PERs t
