NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE PRIOR TO LAUNCHING OF M PHIL LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCES AT ALLAMA IQBAL OPEN UNIVERSITY, ISLAMABAD

Higher Education Commission issued a letter regarding no objection certificate prior to launching of M.Phil Library & Information Sciences at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad w.e.f Spring 2019.

  • Kindly refer to earlier correspondence on the subject cited above. I am pleased to share that on the basis of information provided by the Allama Iqbal Open University. Islamabad that M. Phil Library & Information Sciences is in line with HEC Minimum Criteria for Admission in MS / M.Phil and Ph.D Programme and award of degrees. Therefore, HEC has no objection on start of M. Phil Library & Information Sciences w.e.f. Spring 2019 by the Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad. 
  • It may be re-iterated that, besides other requisites, the minimum requirement to launch and continue conducting an MS / M.Phil / MBA / Equivalent program and a PhD program is to have a minimum two and three relevant PhD faculty members, respectively, at all times. However, HELs are requested to have appropriate student-teacher ratio in view of the research thesis supervision. 
  • Further, HEC QA policies defined in MS / M.Phil & PhD criteria and notified from time to time will also be applicable in said program. Moreover, HEC reserves the right to withdraw the NDC in case it finds that University is unable to demonstrate its ability and commitment to meet the HEC minimum criteria for admissions, Curriculum, faculty, scheme of studies and semester guidelines etc. 
  • This office previous letter No.1-06/2018/QAD-NOC/HEC/AIOU/395, dated: December 14, 2018 stands cancelled.

Government of Pakistan, Directorate General, Immigration & Passports (Headquarter) issued Clarification regarding Change of Profession in Passport. In continuation of this Directorate General circular of even number dated 11-03-2019. CIVIL SERVANTS EFFICIENCY AND DISCIPLINE RULES 2020

  Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat (Establishment Division) made Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules, 2020.  Prime Minister approved to make the following rules:-  1. COUNTER SIGNATURE ON PERs OF TEACHING STAFF AND THEIR UPLOADING ON SIS

  Directorate of Public Instruction(EE), Punjab Lahore issued directions regarding counter signatures on Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) of teaching staff and their uploading on School Information System (SIS).           Through a number of complaints received from different corners it has learnt that in the field offices, teachers are facing problems in getting countersignature on their performance evaluation reports(PERs) to update in HRMIS.            The matter has seriously been viewed. In this regard you are directed to make it simple and easy for all teachers through establishing PERs desks in CEO office, where all such teachers who have not yet got countersigned their PERs will submit their PERs for counter signature from the concerned countersigning officer.            The incharge / focal person of desk shall provide these PERs to · concerned counter singing authority through special messenger and after counter signature the counter signing authority will provide PERs t
