DISTRIBUTION OF FREE TEXTBOOKS TO STUDENTS OF PUBLIC SECTOR SCHOOLS IN PUNJAB FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2018-19

The Director Public Instruction (Elementary Education), Punjab Lahore issued a letter to all the Chief Executive Officers (District Education Authority), in the Punjab and all the District Education Officers (Secondary Education / Elementary Education Men / Elementary Education Women), in the Punjab regarding distribution of free text boos to students of public section schools in Punjab for the academic session 2018-19.

The Secretary, Government of the Punjab, School Education Department has directed that distribution of free text books to may be ensured before the start of Academic Session 2018-19. As per direction of worthy Secretary School Education, new admissions are to be started w.e.f March 01, 2018. Availability of textbooks in the schools is a pre-requisite for smooth conduct of Academic Session as well as retention of enrolled students during session 2018-19.

The Programme Director, PMIU-PESRP has intimated that 82% delivery of free textbooks has been mad at Tehsil warehouse(s) across Punjab and remaining books will be delivered at respective Tehsil warehouse(s) very soon.

In light of above, you are directed to start distribution of Free Textbooks available in the Tehsil warehouse(s) of your respective districts w.e.f 09.02.2018 positively and ensure the completion of the task by 27.02.2018.

Following instructions may be complied with for distribution Free Textbooks to schools and students within the Districts:-

i)     Free Textbooks should issued to schools accordance with the enrollment of the schools.
ii)    Documentation during issuance of free textbooks to schools from Tehsil warehouse must be ensured. Similarly, Headmaster / Headmistress of all schools must be directed to ensure documentation of free textbooks during issuance to students.
iii)   CEOs (DEA) and the Focal Person of Free Textbooks (FTBs) must ensure that there is no leakage of FTBs from Tehsil Warehouses and schools within their district.
iv)   CEOs (DEA) should ensure the distribution of Free Textbooks to 100% schools and student within their district in accordance with SOPs.
v)     The activity of distribution of textbooks to schools should be completed before 28th February 2018.

A certificate to the effect that Free Textbooks have been distributed in all the schools may be furnished on 28.02.2018.

CIVIL SERVANTS EFFICIENCY AND DISCIPLINE RULES 2020

  Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat (Establishment Division) made Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules, 2020.  Prime Minister approved to make the following rules:-  1. COUNTER SIGNATURE ON PERs OF TEACHING STAFF AND THEIR UPLOADING ON SIS

  Directorate of Public Instruction(EE), Punjab Lahore issued directions regarding counter signatures on Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) of teaching staff and their uploading on School Information System (SIS).           Through a number of complaints received from different corners it has learnt that in the field offices, teachers are facing problems in getting countersignature on their performance evaluation reports(PERs) to update in HRMIS.            The matter has seriously been viewed. In this regard you are directed to make it simple and easy for all teachers through establishing PERs desks in CEO office, where all such teachers who have not yet got countersigned their PERs will submit their PERs for counter signature from the concerned countersigning officer.            The incharge / focal person of desk shall provide these PERs to · concerned counter singing authority through special messenger and after counter signature the counter signing authority will provide PERs t
